Hi Emily! Liisa kovalo mentioned your writing in our last group when I mentioned I was working on something about the great experience I had fostering a dog. I look forward to reading more about your fur family!
Hi Jennifer! We met a couple of times online at the Women's writing evening. I would love to know more about your experience. I'm Holly, but the newsletter you read was based on Emily. Thanks for reading!
Sorry for the confusion Holly! It was such a great first experience, I just want to share it with people to encourage them to go to shelters rather than breeders for fostering/adoption (I just feel like most people I talk to still don't get it). So maybe this is a way to encourage that? I love the fact that you take the "tougher" dogs (those are definitely my dogs but I have a frail, elderly chihuahua and she kind of calls the shots about who is allowed to stay lol). I will likely just foster for a while (I also volunteer at Pet Save a couple of times a week, so I'm in the mix when it comes to seeing which dogs really shouldn't be at a shelter).
No worries! How awesome that you volunteer from Pet Save. I've adopted three dogs from Pet Save. She does amazing work! I had a chihuahua once as well so i know they rule the house!
